"Billy and
I were so compatible with our tastes in music. He knew
that I loved the music of Beethoven
and he bought me a presentation set of the 9 symphonies.
He also introduced me to the Elton
John albums. I remember he played me Madman
Across the Water and I was so knocked out by
it. Later on in the 80's when I worked with Elton I
invited Billy along to the studio to meet him. Elton
was very kind to Billy and ask him to join us for a
meal after the session. Library
door is a song written for
Billy. It's on the Two's a Crowd
album and it's about us meeting up again at the George
1V Bridge Library. If it wasn't for this meeting,
there may have never been Pilot.
