On July 17, 1999,
the rock world lost a fantastic drummer and good friend
with the passing of Kevin Wilkinson. He had played with
many different bands including The Waterboys, China
Crisis, Squeeze, and Fish to name a few. David remembers
Kevin: "He was just a wonderful guy. We first met
when he auditioned for Fish. He flew up from London
with another drummer and both auditioned on the same
day. The other drummer elected to play first and I remember
Kevin shaking his hand and wishing him the best of luck
and he really meant it. You couldn't help but like Kevin,
and the fact he was a fantastic drummer was just a bonus.
We locked in like we'd been playing together for years.
He was great fun to be with and was always a great comfort
when times were tough. We worked on many projects together
and it's the happy memories that remain." There
is a tribute album out for Kevin that includes a track
by David. Click the button to the right to find out
